MRS. AND MRS. BARBARA
Barbara Petersen had never thought in her mind that she had a lesbian side until she met Barbara Grimes. Petersen, 70, and Grimes, 69, live together in Beverly Hills, Fla., with five dogs. They first met each other in the early 1980s. They soon became good friends, and “It was slow evolution,” as Grimes described. They received the holy union in October, 1990, when they lived in Minnesota. Petersen said, “I fell in love with the person, not the gender.”
